SeaPort-e Contract Vehicle

Since its founding in 1989, SARA has committed the full array of its scientific and technical expertise in electromagnetics, acoustics, directed energy and related disciplines toward the service of the U.S. warfighter and all domestic agencies who ensure the continuing national interests, international preeminence and homeland security of the United States. This commitment is central to SARA’s core purpose and values – to enable our defenders and providers with critical technology that is unique to SARA. Led by Dr. Parviz Parhami (CEO and co-founder) and Jim Wes (President), SARA has evolved and expanded beyond a small nucleus of research scientists principally investigating Electromagnetic Effects on aircraft (EME), and now provide a broad spectrum of world-class technology innovations coupled with mature engineering, manufacturing and management processes and competencies. While historically varied, SARA’s present and future activities focus on five principal competencies: Electromagnetics, Millimeter Wave Sensing, Acoustics, Directed Energy and EMP Survivability. The solutions SARA has developed in these areas are both profound and directly relevant to the entire spectrum of missions supported under the SeaPort-e program.

Quality Assurance

SARA’s Quality Assurance Program uses a powerful approach that has been applied successfully to numerous projects equivalent in size, complexity, and scope to the SeaPort-e contract. Principles of our QA Program include clear communications with the customer, the precise and timely application of performance metrics, and rigorous compliance with SARA best practices and standards. Our International Standards Organization (ISO) based program and compliance establishes our Quality Assurance (QA) infrastructure and defines the processes needed to implement it effectively. We apply the results of our QA activities and measurements to quantitatively assess all aspects of our performance as well as product and service quality.
